Man Machine Interface Simulations
TTP has recognized the need for cost effective simulations or operating procedures that utilize Man Machine Interface (MMI) screens from the field. These simulations are made by recording actual control screens, while they are being used on windows based control computers. The software we use to produce these site-specific simulations is called "Softsim" which is a product sold by Outstart.
Softsim Capabilities
By using Softsim we have the ability to record control screens, data inputted, mouse movements, subscreens, alarms and all readings that occur during an operation sequence performed on a coordinated control screen or on control screens for controllers that are dedicated to a single system. This can be done with no interference to the person operating the system. These actual screens, mouse movements, subscreens data and all other input are recorded and saved in a file.
Once this file is retrieved, sound, text and other functions can be added before it is exported as an HTML simulation. It can be exported in formats that run automatically, that require assisted interaction or in formats that test the participant by providing no assistance
Best of all, Softsim files can be easily edited by the client, which provides them the opportunity to take ownership of the products we produce.

Samples:
Unfortunately, we are not allowed to show site-specific simulations produced by Softsim for our Utility or Food Clients due to the propriety of the operating processes, but we have provided links to several demos produced by Softsim Clients that have been approved for public viewing. Also, we have provided a link to a simplified sample which we produced as a demo for a trucking logistics company.
